Doc Hurley Scholarship Application Information
Applications will be in the guidance offices of the
following eligible high schools no later than the second week
of January 2009. Only students from the eligible
schools can apply. This is NOT an athletic
scholarship.
ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS - A.I. Prince Technical,
Avon High School, Bloomfield High School, Bristol Central High
School, Bristol Eastern High School, Bulkeley High School,
Capital Prep. Magnet School, Cheney Technical, Classic Magnet
School, Conard High School, East Catholic High
School, East Hartford High School, Farmington High School,
Glastonbury High School, Hall High School, Hartford Public
High School, Hillhouse High School, Kingswood-Oxford High
School, Manchester High School, Marianapolis Preparatory
School, Middletown High School, New Britain High School, New London High School,
Newington High School, Northwest Catholic High School, Norwich
Free Academy, Rockville High School, Rocky Hill High School,
Simsbury High School, South Windsor
High School, Sports Sciences Academy, St. Paul Catholic High
School, Suffield High School, The Master's School, Watkinson
School, Weaver High School, Wethersfield High School and
Windsor High School.

* Essay written by applicant

How to
apply:
Obtain Doc Hurley application
materials from guidance office, we do not accept common
applications.
Applications will not be mailed
to students.
Valid applications must include:
- Student Aid Report
(SAR) from FAFSA showing Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)
- Three letters of
recommendation
- Typed Essay (no
more than 1 1/2 pages)
- High school
transcript
- SAT or ACT scores
The Doc Hurley Scholarship
Foundation, Inc. considers and selects scholarship
recipients based on the judgment of the Scholarship
Committee as to financial need and academic/personal merit.
Selections are made on a non-discriminatory basis, without
